JULY 6th: Ossett may get a railway station if the newly promised spending for public transport goes ahead. For more than two years Ossett Civic Trust has been lobbying for a station in Ossett on the line from Kirkgate to Mirfield. Ossett is one of 40 sites proposed for new park and ride stations by the Association of Train Operating Companies.
